Durban businessman in court for planned murder
Updated | By Zongile Mthimkhulu
A Durban businessman who allegedly hired a man to help him find an assassin to kill his business partner so he could cash in on a R34-million policy is expected to appear in the Durban Magistrate's Court today.

The suspect was arrested recently by police following an undercover operation.
The Hawks say an undercover cop concluded a deal before staging the murder.
Hawks spokesperson Hangwani Mulaudzi says R10 000 was deposited into an account within half-an-hour of the supposed crime.
"On Tuesday, we managed to connect the business person to the plot and as such, there was money that was paid to our informer who is a member of Crime Intelligence.
"We managed to also confiscate the 9mm pistol as well as police equipment from the third suspect - who is his business person," he said.
The Hawks allege the businessman had also tried to murder the target in July by staging an apparent hijacking in Drummond.
