Dube Trade Port says no knowledge of drugs at its warehouse
Updated | By Celumusa Zulu
The Dube Trade Port, north of Durban, has distanced itself from any criminal activities following a drug bust at a rented warehouse at King Shaka International Airport.

Harbour police on Friday confiscated cocaine valued at around R80 million from a container that arrived from Brazil.
The drugs were hidden in boxes of meat.
The raid came a day after a bust at the Durban harbour, where R72 million worth of drugs were seized.
KZN violence monitor Mary De Haas believes the country needs sophisticated investigative bodies to deal with the scourge of organised drug crimes.

"These drugs are going to local people. You know why you bringing drugs in unless it's local distribution, and that all boils down to proper intelligence. Who's dealing drugs?
“Ever since I can remember, the drug dealers are known to people. If you go to places like Sydenham, historically, it was known is where people were dealing drugs. It's about tackling the internal supply chains as well as what comes in."
