Updated | By Noxolo Miya
KZN Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube has once again promised
permanent housing for the victims of the April floods.
More than 450 people lost their lives in the disaster, which destroyed hundreds of homes, buildings and bridges.
Dube-Ncube provided an update on the relocation process on Sunday.
She said 40 families had been relocated from Westville's Truro Hall to temporary residential units with 50 rooms.
Social Development will also assist the victims with food vouchers this week.

"It does have CCTV cameras. It's got hot water, and biometric gates to identify the residents. it's got kitchens with a number of stoves and fridges. We have also allocated a place for the homework area for the children."
Some residents from the area are disappointed with the decision saying they weren't consulted about the move.
Dube-Ncube says the new, permanent houses they're building will have all essential facilities.
"It has to be a safe place, it must have electricity and a laundry facility."
