Drought won't affect Midmar Mile: organisers
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Organisers of the 2016 Aquelle Midmar Mile say it's all systems go for this year's instalment of the race despite the country experiencing one of the worst droughts in its history.

Director Wayne Riddin says swimmers will have to start at a different point but they will still swim a mile.
He says the quality of water at Midmar Dam was tested last week.
"We found that the water was clean after you actually drink directly from the dam so on the course that we will be swimming, we haven't really got any concerns about water quality at all and they are going to swim a straight mile.
"So at the moment we are just happy that the event is going to probably be one of the best yet," he said.
The world's largest open water swimming event takes place on the weekend of the 13 and 14 February.
