Dros rapist Nicholas Ninow: I started using drugs at 13
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
Convicted rapist Nicholas Ninow says he would have never raped the then 7-year-old girl at a Dros restaurant, had he been in a sober state of mind, while blaming his actions on the introduction of drugs from an early age.

Sentencing proceedings are currently underway in the North Gauteng High Court.
Ninow had been shadowing a now 8-year-old child who had been in the play area of the restaurant in September 2018.
It's alleged that when the child went to the bathroom, Ninow followed her and then dragged her into the men's toilet.
Testifying in mitigation of sentence, Ninow said that at the time of the rape, he was having problems at work and had turned to drugs.
