Drop in new Covid-19 cases while recovery rate increases

South Africa has seen a decrease in
the number of new Covid-19 cases reported over the past 24 hours, while
the country’s recovery rate has also seen a slight increase.
254 more people diagnosed with COVID-19
have died across the country.
Forty of those fatalities were from KZN.
It takes the national death toll to 37 105.
There were also 12 267 new coronavirus infections reported in the last 24 hours.
The positive cases came from a total of 54 696 new tests conducted since the last report.
The country’s recovery rate has also etched up to 82.1% in Sunday’s report, translating into 1 098 441 total recoveries in the country, since the beginning of the pandemic in March 2020.
