Driver slammed for kicking boy (5) out of taxi

The South African National Taxi Council (Santaco) has slammed the behaviour of a Verulam driver, who asked a five-year-old boy to exit the vehicle, because the child had lost his taxi fare.
The Grade R pupil, who was alone and returning home from school, was dumped on the side of the road in Canelands this week.

Security company, Reaction Unit SA assisted in reunited the boy with his family.
Santaco KZN spokesperson, Sfiso Shangase says the taxi driver should've behaved like a responsible adult.
"It's inhumane for him to have dropped him off on the side of the road, because anything could of happened to the child.

"We must also behave as human beings and have the philosophy of ubuntu.
"He was suppose to have gone through with the trip with the child and eventually event to assist in terms of finding the parents of the child."
