Driver dies after crashing into tree in Chatsworth
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Investigations are underway into what led a 28-year-old man to crash his vehicle into a tree in Chatsworth, South of Durban.
ER24 says they found the car up against a large tree and the driver seated on the pavement on the M1 Higginson Highway.
Spokesperson Russel Meiring says he had injuries on his chest and head.
"As we loaded him into the ambulance we found that the patient's vital signs suddenly diminished. ER24 paramedics immediately initiated CPR in an effort to regain his pulse.
"Unfortunately, after 45 minutes of CPR, no vital signs returned and the patient was declared dead on scene," he said.
