A minibus taxi driver, who was involved in an accident that left nine school children injured earlier today, has been charged for driving without a driver's licence.
His minibus, which transports children to school, overturned after it collided with another vehicle on Musa Dladla Road, formerly known as Newlands East Drive.
Paramedics initially said that 17 children had been hurt, but police only confirmed nine.
A case of reckless and negligent driving was being investigated by Newlands East police after the two vehicles collided, said Captain Nqobile Gwala.
