Dozens killed in Afghanistan quake
Updated | By Sky New, ECR Newswatch
At least 53 people have died following a powerful earthquake in a remote area of north-east Afghanistan.

Measuring 7.5, the tremor shook buildings and cut power in some areas.
There have been deaths in both Afghanistan and in neighbouring Pakistan.
Eyewitness Mukhtar Soar is in Kabul, where he says workers were sent running into the street.
"Some shops have been damaged - the glass is broken. The roads were blocked because of the rush of the people and the cars around the building," he said.
According to reports, at least 12 schoolgirls were trampled to death in a northern Afghan province.
It is reported they were exiting a school building when the stampede occurred.
