Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
With the ANC's national elective conference just several weeks away, the KZN ANC has reiterated its belief the ANC is ready to be led by a woman.
Deputy President Cyril Ramaphosa and ANC MP, Nkosazana Dlamini-Zuma are the front-runners in the presidential race.
Senior provincial party officials outlined the principles branch general meetings ahead of the conference in Durban today.
Deputy chairperson of the KZN ANC Women's League, Nomagugu Simelane-Zulu says Dlamini-Zuma is the ideal candidate.
"The comrade that we believe is senior than all comrades discussed has played a role in the revolution and has been leading since she was a student. You can say a lot of things. Comrade Dlamini-Zuma would be the ideal person to lead the ANC moving forward," she says.
