Disability athlete completes first Ironman championship
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
It's a proud moment for Pretoria-based athlete, Xolani Luvuno who completed his first IronMan Championship as a competitor with a disability.
Luvuno completed the 70,3-mile triathlon alongside partner - Hein Venter yesterday.
It's not the first gruelling race Luvuno has conquered. Together with Venter, the pair completed the 2018 Comrades Marathon.
Luvuno lost his right leg to bone cancer in 2009.
See footage below of how the love for endurance sport began.
