Democratic to change the Constitution for land ownership: Zuma
Updated | By Maryke Vermaak
President Jacob Zuma says he's in favour of changing the Constitution in order to correct the imbalance of land ownership.

The president told the MK Military Veterans' national conference, land distribution is the democratic way of ensuring freedom for all South Africans.
President Zuma spent a great deal of time talking about the importance of radical socio-economic transformation and the vital issue of land ownership.
He says transformation can't just be a slogan and there needs to be serious and frank discussions on dealing with land redistribution, while keeping within the confines of the law.
"If we think that the law or the constitution does not reach the point, it is democratic to amend the law or the constitution," says President Zuma.
