Defence dept in KwaMashu after hostel shooting
The Department of Defence will be in KwaMashu, north of Durban today, after four people were killed at the hostel there, on Sunday
It is alleged gunmen entered the hostel, forced the victims to lie on the ground before shooting them execution style.
Spokesperson for the department, Siphiwe Dlamini says KwaMashu Hostel has been a problematic area.

Dlamini says they are working on improving security in the area.
"Together with the community we will be looking at ways and means at how best we can mitigate against the crime and violence in particular in those areas that are affected.
"We also want to state that for us to deal with crime, it happens where we live therefore it is not a matter that can be left only to government and the department," he said.
