Decision to drop charges against Zuma 'tainted the NPA'
Updated | By Jacaranda FM News
The High Court in Pretoria is hearing replies to the arguments made during the DA's application to review a 2009 National Directorate of Public Prosecutions decision to discontinue a fraud and corruption case against President Jacob Zuma in connection with the arms deal.
It's the final day of the hearing.
Sean Rosenberg for the DA has tackled arguments that they've changed their case several times, saying then National Director for Public Prosecutions Mokotedi Mpshe acted irrationally when discontinuing the charges.
He says withdrawing the charges at the last minute damaged the integrity of the NPA.

"Withdrawing a case such as this at the eleventh hour on this apparently rather narrow basis could and we suggest has done grave damage to the institutional integrity of the NPA in the minds of the properly informed members of the public," he said.
