Death toll rises to 16 in Hammanskraal crash

Sixteen people have died after in an horrific accident involving a taxi and a bakkie on the N1 near Hammankraal, north of Pretoria.
A taxi and a bakkie collided yesterday evening - killing six children and 10 adults.
Authorities are investigating the cause of the crash.
Netcare 911 medics say that two people survived the accident - one of them is in a critical condition in hospital.
Messages of condolences for the victims' families have been streaming in on social media.
Images posted by emergency services online show the devastating aftermath of the collision with the crumpled remains of both vehicles lying side by side.
