Updated | By Portia Cele
Chinese authorities are still struggling to extinguish fires and identify dangerous chemicals at the devastated industrial site after giant explosions in the north-eastern city.
Environmental group Greenpeace has expressed concern over the after effects of chemicals released into the air while campaigners are worried substances from the site could be dangerous.
More than 200 nuclear and chemical experts are testing the site of a north-eastern China town for toxic gases after a series of explosions on Wednesday.
Media reports say up to 1 000 firefighters were still struggling to extinguish blazes at the site.
