De Lille faces no confidence vote today
Updated | By HeartFM News
Cape Town's City Council will vote on Mayor Patricia de Lille's future this morning.

The Motion of No Confidence in her was brought by her own party, the DA. De Lille wants the vote be held by secret ballot.
Yesterday, High Court Judge Robert Henney ruled that the Council's Speaker must make that decision - saying it must be one that allows councillors to vote with their conscience.
"Today's judgement was a comprehensive victory. Judge Henney noted that I was fully justified in bringing the application to court to demand a free vote despite this being labelled as misguided," De Lille says.
