'Damage to UKZN could be more than R150-million'
UKZN says it's still counting the costs of the damage to its property since student protests flared up recently.
The entrance to a students' residence was set alight at the Pietermaritzburg campus on Monday.
Part of the law library and a cafeteria were set on fire at Howard College in Durban earlier this month while several vehicles were torched at Westville.
Students have been protesting over possible 2017 fee increases, the state of residences and demanded representation in council meetings.

Despite the unrest, classes have continued with a police presence on all five campuses.
UKZN's Lesiba Seshoka says all they know is that the damage that has been caused to the properties runs into millions.
"There's no questions about that, we will be fortunate if it were to run less than R150-million. It could actually be more than that," he said.
