Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The DA believes the country’s youth want to be part of a movement for change.

The opposition party’s youth wing has launched an 8-week drive to assist eligible, first-time voters register to cast their ballot ahead of next year’s general elections.
The party visited parts of KwaMashu and Maritzburg yesterday.
Spokesperson Dikeledi Selowa says they have found that young people want to make effective change but are not always sure how.
"Some of them would go and join movements for free sanitary pads or others like the Total Shutdown movement. While these are great movements to be a part of however youth will not get involved in the politics of the day", she said.
"It is also are about what politics represents so there tends to be a generational gap around how young people are represented within government", Selowa said.
