DA on SONA 2021: We are a bus accelerating fast towards the cliff

Democratic Alliance
(DA) leader John Steenhuisen says South Africa is in deep trouble and
compares the situation in the country to that of a bus accelerating
towards the end of the cliff.
Steenhuisen was reacting to President Cyril Ramaphosa’s State of the Nation Address (SONA) which was delivered at the Opening of Parliament on Thursday evening.
“The truth of the matter is that South Africa is in deep, deep trouble. We are a bus that is accelerating very fast towards the cliff. People are suffering terribly and much more suffering is on the horizon. Lives are at stake, the situation is truly urgent.

“We call for radical action that goes to the heart of the problem which is an over-controlling, incapable and unaccountable state. What we needed to hear about was the real progress to the real solutions to our real challenges,” adds Steenhuisen.
