DA Manifesto: Pappas pledges anti-crime unit for KZN

DA KZN premier candidate, Chris Pappas says he will form a dedicated anti-crime unit if elected as premier.
During the DA's provincial manifesto launch yesterday, he addressed supporters in Verulam, north of Durban.
Pappas says KZN should stop relying on the national police service to keep us safe.
"We need localised policing strategies that understand the unique challenges within different communities.

We need police that answer the phone when you call them for help."
When I am elected Premier, I will fight for the creation of a provincial police service that is well-resourced, well-trained, and free of political interference.
