Nehawu

The trade union’s members down tools last week to demand a 10% wage increase.
It took to the streets after rejecting government’s offer of 4.7%.
The strike has been marred by intimidation with staff and patients being prevented from entering healthcare facilities.
Health Minister Joe Phaahla last week said at least four deaths could possibly be linked to the strike.

KZN has been one of the hardest-hit provinces, with a pregnant woman losing her life in after not receiving urgent healthcare following a hit-and-run incident.
The DA said it will be laying criminal charges in Pietermaritzburg.
All Nehawu members were expected back at work on Tuesday morning following an interdict against the strike granted by the Labour Appeals Court on Monday.
