DA to launch branch in Nkandla today

KZN DA Leader, Zwakele Mncwango will join the party's uThungulu Constituency Head, Ann McDonnell, in opening the branch in Nkandla Town.

McDonnell says it's a strategic location and they want to bring better service delivery to the people of Nkandla.

"What we are doing is going into a good South African area where the president's area is on one side and the IFP is on the other. So we believe it is fertile ground for the DA to move in", she said.

Meanwhile Inkatha Freedom Party says it will be welcoming over 600 NFP members back to the IFP today. General-Secretary, Otto Kunene, says they are excited about the members returning.

"We are growing in leaps and bounds. Recently we have won a lot of by elections and took some wards from the ANC so it is a positive sign for us and we are hopeful that as we go towards the local government elections next year we will be able to regain some lost ground", he said.
