The opposition party’s national leadership is expected to visit Chatsworth south of Durban this morning in the wake of a recent spate of criminal activity in the area. The party feels more job opportunity need to be created to help people earn an honest living - keeping them on the right side of the law.

The DA says woman and child abuse, theft and violence need to be addressed. Spokesperson, Portia Adams says the party will provide a platform for the youth to better their lives

"We have programs where young people will engage with centres that have been set up to ensure that they are empowered in one way or the other once they are done with schooling", she said.

"This also extends to entrepreneurs where they will be empowered with the necessary tools to ensure that they change our social fabric to better not only their communities but the country as well", Adams said.

DA leader Mmusi Maimane is expected to address the community at the Christian Revival Centre at 9-o’clock.
