DA appeals to international groups to assist with KZN South Coast water crisis
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
The DA in KZN says ongoing water supply issues on the KZN South
Coast have forced them to reach out to international advocacy groups.
Residents have had to deal with inconsistent supply caused by, infrastructure issues and at times resource damage.
Just last month a mass protest erupted led by fed up community members.
DA's Chris Pappas says they have written to a number of international groups.
“These groups include the World Bank, the United Nations and the World Water Center. This is to highlight the increasingly difficult situation face by Ugu residents, when it comes to water and sanitation,” Pappas said.
“For years residents have been plagued by ongoing issues that affect not only their businesses but their personal lives. The DA will not sit back as the government neglects this part of our country,” he added.
