Updated | By Bernadette Wicks
Cyclone Idai has made landfall in the Mozambican city of Beira - just before midnight.
And according to reports, the tropical cylcone was packing winds of more than 200km per hour.
It's not yet clear though how much damage was caused. We're still waiting for news from officials in Mozambique.
The country has cancelled flights to several domestic destinations though.

We were told yesterday that more than a hundred people were killed - and thousands were left homeless - in the flash flooding preceding the cyclone, earlier this week.
A 15-strong team of South African medics has flown to Mozambique and will head out to the disaster area today.
Meanwhile, Pietermaritzburg-based NGO Gift of the Givers is on high alert.
The group's Imtiaz Sooliman says his offices have already engaged the Mozambican Government and the head of Disaster Management and offered their services if necessary.
He say the water rescue preparations currently under way - constitute the organisation's largest in its 26-year history.
