A culpable homicide case is being investigated after a municipal worker was killed in a freak accident in Durban.

A culpable homicide case is being investigated after a municipal worker was killed in a freak accident in Durban.
It's understood the Durban Solid Waste employee was collecting refuse on Thursday when he lost his balance and fell off the truck in the CBD.

Police say the truck driver wasn't aware of what had happened and reversed and drove over the worker who was under the heavy-duty vehicle.
He died at the scene.
