Culpable homicide probe after driver dies in PMB head-on crash

A culpable homicide case is being investigated by the KZN police after the driver of a car lost control and collided with a SAPS truck in Pietermaritzburg.
The accident took place on Selby Msimang Road last night.
The driver of the car died on the scene after his vehicle was crushed by the truck.
SAPS spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says the police officer who was driving the the truck was rushed to hospital for medical attention.
"Yesterday afternoon a vehicle lost control and crashed into a truck on the Edendale Main Road. The driver of the vehicle died on the scene - the truck driver sustained injuries and was taken to hospital for medical attention. A case of culpable homicide was opened for investigation."
