Culpable homicide probe after child, 4, hit by truck

Police have opened a case of culpable homicide after a four-year-old boy was struck and killed by a truck in Mount Royal, near Phoenix.
Officers say it's understood the child had been playing with a group of friends on the back of the stationary vehicle.
"A group of children had climbed on the back step of the truck and were chased but a four-year-old victim was still at the back when the driver reversed. while the victim was at the back," he said.
The police's Nqobile Gwala says the child was declared dead on the scene.
