Culpable homicide case opened following Queenstown crash

Eastern Cape police are investigating a case of culpable homicide following yesterday's accident in Queenstown in which five people were killed.
The five victims died after the car they were travelling in collided with another car on the N6.
The two occupants of the other car escaped unharmed.
Reports say among the victims are TV presenter - Akhumzi Jezile, actor Thobani Mseleni and singer Siyasanga Kobese - with tributes continuing to pour in for them.

Eastern Cape Transport's Khuselwa Rantjie says the names of the victims will only be officially released after formal identification by their families.
"At this stage, the deceased are at a state mortuary in Queenstown. We are awaiting families to come through for the identification of the deceased. Later on, there'll be confirmation of the names of those who passed on in that accident," Rantjie said.
