Cruise liner awaits permission to dock in Durban

A luxury cruise liner, that's asked for permission to dock in Durban, will get its answer from port authorities today.

The Amsterdam arrived on our shores on Sunday - after a four-month-long global tour that began in the US.
Transnet National Ports Authority says the vessel has requested permission to refuel and restock.

The Authority's Justin Adams says if there are no confirmed cases of COVID-19 onboard - only South African crew members will be allowed to disembark.
The Amsterdam is not carrying passengers.
