Dressed mostly in ANC regalia, many in t-shirts with Zuma's face, they cheered as Zuma thanked them for coming and told them he loved them.
Zuma then indulged them by belting out his signature tune uMshini Wam - accompanied by his enthusiastic dance moves.
Some of the supporters who spoke to Newswatch said South Africans should not forget what Zuma has done for this country and that he is innocent until proven guilty.
