Criminal case opened against Durban man following racist post
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The Minority Front says it has opened a criminal case against a Durban man who made comments perceived by many as encouraging violence against Indians in KZN.
The post caused outrage on social media yesterday.
The Facebook user said Indians are not welcome in the province. The Minority Front's Jonathan Annipen says they have also lodged a complaint with the SA Human Rights Commission.
He feels the post constitutes hate speech and could incite violence.
Newswatch has made an attempt to contact the Facebook user who allegedly made the post but a response from him has not been forthcoming.
