Cricket officials meet over Australian cricket ball tampering
Updated | By AlgoaFM News
Cricket chiefs are holding crisis talks in Johannesburg today to deal with a cheating scandal involving Australia's cricket coach - Darren Lehmann and skipper Steve Smith.
Media reports say they could throw the book at Smith and his vice-captain David Warner - banning them from the game for 12-months and sending them home in disgrace.
Coach Lehmann's been mum - after Smith admitted to ball tampering during the third Test in Cape Town on Saturday.
The 28-year-old was suspended for the rest of the match against South Africa at the weekend. The ICC then imposed a one-match ban.
International reports suggest he's already decided to quit.
Australia's Channel Nine Producer, Will Dempsey, says Australian fans and sponsors are irate.
