CPF says Reservoir Hills situation 'remains volatile'
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
The Community Policing Forum in Reservoir Hills says protestors began descending on Mountbatten Drive in the early hours of Tuesday morning.
Disgruntled residents from an informal settlement nearby took to the streets outside the shopping centre to voice their anger over poor service delivery.
They blocked the M19 off-ramps with burning debris.
CPF member Rodney Moodley says the situation remained volatile through the morning.

"They started on Mountbatten Drive, between checkers and BP, that was blacked and they started on the M19 and blocked all directions that enter Reservoir Hills."
He says there are around 200 protestors.
"They want somebody from the municipality or council to come and see them.
"We have had talks with the mayor and he is sending somebody to address them. We have metro, Sydenham SAPS and Inkosi on scene, and CPF patrollers.”
