COVID-19 recovery rate climbs to 76%

260 new COVID-19 related deaths have been reported over the past 24-hours in South Africa.
The silver lining for the country this week has been the increasing recovery rate which now sits at 76 percent.
There were 39 new fatalities from KZN reported, taking the provincial death tally to 1563.
The national death toll sits at 11 270.
The Department Health has also confirmed 3954 new cases, taking the national tally of infections to over 572 000.
Gauteng still accounts for the majority of coronavirus infections, followed by KwaZulu-Natal and the Western Cape.
As of today, a cumulative total of 572 865 confirmed COVID-19 cases in SA have been recorded.

Number of tests done is 3 315 497.
