COVID-19 lockdown international, domestic travel ban upheld, says Ramaphosa
Updated | By Andrew Robertson
President Cyril Ramaphosa says there will be strictly no travelling between provinces when the lockdown is moved to level four.

Addressing the nation last night, Ramaphosa announced government's plan on how it will gradually phase out the lockdown and resume economic activity.
Ramaphosa says our borders will remain closed to international travel, but it will be open for repatriation processes of South Africans and foreign citizens.
He added that only the transportation of goods would be allowed cross-provinces.

Those who've lost their loved ones in another province will only be allowed to travel there under exceptional circumstances.
"Public transport will continue to operate, with limitations on the number of passengers and stringent hygiene requirements, including that all passengers must wear a face mask."
"The public is encouraged to stay at home, other than for essential personal movement, doing essential work and work in sectors that are under controlled opening. People can exercise under strict public health conditions."
