Court postpones case against two linked to Ditebogo Phalane murder

The case against two more suspects arrested in connection with the murder of a five-year-old Pretoria boy has been postponed to next week.

Ditebogo Junior Phalane was shot and killed by hijackers at his Soshanguve home after he went outside to greet his father. 

Two men, aged 29 and 30, appeared in the Atteridgeville Magistrate's Court on Wednesday.

They face charges of being in possession of illegal firearms and unlicensed ammunition. 

Another two appeared in court last Friday - the same day the little boy was laid to rest.

The Gauteng NPA's Lumka Mahanjana says at this stage, none of the suspects faces murder charges.

"The matter was in-camera. Media and the public were not allowed inside the court because there is further investigations that still need to take place, such as an identity parade.

"In court, the matter was postponed to 30 May for bail information, bail investigations and for the accused to appoint an attorney."
