Court hears Meyiwa's friend refused money for Netflix doccie

A friend of Senzo Meyiwa says he refused money to take part in a Netflix documentary on the former Bafana Bafana captain’s killing.
Mthokozisi Thwala has been testifying in the trial of the matter in the High Court in Pretoria.
He told the court that he refused to take part in the 10/10 production because he saw it as a money-making scheme.
Thwala says he did however give the production house six pictures of him and Senzo to use for the documentary.
"I sent them pics, I think I sent them about six pictures because to me I could see that that this documentary was just a money-making business and I even refused the money that they offered.
"I didn't want them to give me money and I then said to them they could use those pictures if they wanted to use them."
On Wednesday, the court heard that Thwala was allegedly physically assaulted by police into confessing that he killed Meyiwa.
