Court dismisses Magudumana application to have arrest declared unlawful

Doctor Nandipha Magudumana's urgent application to have her arrest in Tanzania declared unlawful has
been dismissed.
Magudumana's lawyers also argued in the High Court in Bloemfontein for the charges against her to be dropped.
Judge Phillip Loubser handed down judgment in her case on Monday morning.

"I, therefore, find that the application cannot succeed. I make the following order, the application is dismissed with cost including the costs of two counts employees respectfully by the first to the third respondent and the sixth respondent."
Magudumana was arrested alongside convicted rapist and murderer Thabo Bester in Arusha over a month ago.
She is accused of assisting Bester in his escape from Mangaung Correctional Centre in May last year.
