Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Police in Verulam are investigating a double murder after a couple was found hacked to death whilst sleeping in their home in Redcliffe.

The bodies of the pair were discovered by neighbours covered in blankets, after screams were allegedly heard from their home on Saturday night.
Reaction Unit's spokesperson Prem Balram say the motive of the murder is not yet known.
"On arrival, reaction officers were informed that the victims were heard screaming for assistance before they went silent. The male victim is believed to have been hacked with a panga while his partner was stabbed multiple times with a knife."
Balram says the couple have been living in the area for a while.
"The couple has been identified as foreigners. Paramedics declared them dead at the scene and the suspects were not immediately arrested."
