Forty-year-old Riaz Rasool and his 39-year-old wife Emmashnie - are accused of defrauding a man of R12 million four years ago.
KZN Hawks spokesperson, Simphiwe Mhlongo says the pair conned the victim into funding their business.
They also apparently promised huge benefits from a multi-million rand tender they claimed to have won from eThekwini Municipality.

"The purported as if they received a tender from eThekwini Municipality and they need their business to be funded in order to start work."
"However, it was later discovered that the information was false as a result; a case of fraud was reported to the police."
The Durban Commercial Crimes Court granted them bail of R5 000 each. They are expected back in court in April.
