Councillors shot during attack on Sindiso Magaqa fear for their lives

Two of the councillors who had been travelling with slain former ANC Youth League secretary general, Sindiso Magaqa when their vehicle was ambushed earlier this year say they still fear for their lives.
Magaqa died in hospital this week, nearly two months after the drive-by shooting at Ibisi Village in Umzimkhulu.
His fellow uMzinkhulu councillor, Jabulile Mzizi says she and her family are still receiving threats.
Mzizi is calling on police to find the assailants as a matter of urgency.
"We are still in fear because there are threats, they were threatening my child whilst I was in hospital," she said.
She says they will honour Magaqa's legacy.
"He was a fighter, I am still going to fight and take from where he left. He was recovering and he said he was coming back."

The other councillor - Nontsikelelo Mafa says they have not received any protection since being discharged form hospital.
"I don't have security protection at the moment and we are not safe. I'm walking using crutches," she said.
