Councillor arrested in Ladysmith drug raid
A Bergville area councillor has been arrested in Ladysmith after 41 kilograms of dagga were found in his car.
The 33-year-old was taken into custody yesterday after police conducted a stop and search operation in the area.
The drugs are estimated to be worth R82 000.
The councillor is expected to appear in the Ladysmith Magistrate Court today on drug dealing charges.
