Cosatu to shut down Cape Town
Updated | By News24
Around 230 000 members of unions affiliated with Cosatu are expected to take part in a march in Cape Town next week.

The federation’s provincial secretary, Tony Ehrenreich says a memorandum of demands will be handed over to a representative of Parliament.
The march is part of national action planned for Wednesday. Cosatu says the intention is to “shut the city down”.
Workers want to highlight, among other issues, “massive job losses across the economy”.
Those set to take part in the strike include workers from the clothing, public service, security, contract cleaning, parastatal, retail and manufacturing sectors.
October 7 is 'World Day for Decent Work'.
