Cosatu National Congress kicks off today

Cosatu's 12th National Congress gets underway in Johannesburg today.
The workers' federation will elect new leaders. Its admitted to having a difficult last few years including in-fighting and divisions between those who support Cosatu president Sdumo Dlamini and former general secretary Zwelinzima Vavi.
The congress will naturally look at the state of South Africa's economy, employment and service delivery.
On the more internal note, it will discuss the current weak state of the alliance, the challenges of the the ANC as leader of this alliance as well as those facing Cosatu.
As acting general secretary, Bheki Ntshalitshali says they are going to discuss everything at the congress.
''We'll confront the reason that led to the lack of unity within some of Cosatu affiliates. Nothing will be off the table at the congress,'' he said.
Today's program will see about 2500 delegates arriving in Midrand for the four-day conference.
