The decision came out of the trade union federation's Central Executive Committee meeting.
It also comes after a Cosatu May Day rally in Bloemfontein was called off after Zuma - who was the keynote speaker - was booed.
Cosatu's Bheki Ntshalintshali..Ntshalintshali says they remain an ally of the ANC.
"We want to see an ANC that will not only rediscover it's mass character but will use its organisational mass power to assert a people-driven and people-centred development instead of using this to fight internal factional battles to get people elected to positions of power," he said.
