Cosas enters the free education fray
The Congress of South African Students (Cosas) says it will on Friday march to the Johannesburg Stock Exchange (JSE), to demand that the private sector gets involved in ensuring free education.
This follows numerous student protests across the country - demanding no fee tuition.
Cosas Secretary General Khulekani Skosana says they are championing the call as pupils who will be at university next year.
"It is matriculants who are rejected by intuitions of higher learning because their parents cannot afford the fees. They end up dropping out and working at Shoprite due to this crises," he said.
