Corruption case again iLembe CEO to resume in August

The R2.2 million corruption case against the former CEO of
iLembe Enterprises is expected to resume in August.
The Durban Specialised Commercial Crimes Court on Wednesday charged Mlungisi Manci with corruption and accepting a bribe.
He's alleged to have received over R2 million from a company called Black Balance Projects in return for a R12 million tender contract that was awarded to them.
NPA KZN spokesperson Natasha Kara says the deal allegedly happened between 2011 and 2012.

"His appearance relates to payments that he allegedly received from, Black Balance Projects Pty (Ltd), a service provider to iLembe District Municipality.
"The directors for Black Balance, Christopher Clark and Malcolm Biggar, also appeared on charges of corruption on 25 May 2022. Today they were joined by Manci and K2S Consulting."
